I'd say the 3 pieces you could analyze for this are:

The clvl display code from Mysterial's UT2004 RPG (it displays your clvl in the stats page when you press 'L')

The awareness code, also found in UT2004 RPG's code, which displays a dynamic health-bar above an enemie's head

And a mutator DamagePopup, which outputs a number in white every time you do damage to a monster...

post your results... if you're getting good bandwidth, it could be a packet loss issue, in which case I'll have you perform a different test

i just got the weapons of power mod as well... i got the charms to drop, but i couldn't pick them up... i believe after it's intially loaded, it creates an ini file... you can configure the settings for it there...

HOWEVER, to get the gun to appear in the first place, you should've read the readme that came with it:

open your UT2004RPG.ini file and find the section containing:

you can increase the chance to increase the frequency of a WoP appearing... i haven't actually finished configuring stuff, and i'm at work, but when i get home, i'm replacing all my ini's and trying out all my new settings... here's hoping
ah... hehe i know exactly where that is... I'll play on it tonight...

although, i played on it a few nights ago and didn't have a problem... in this instance, it could very well be lag

I believe this to be the case, as there's no in-game player to associate the blast with...

this same concept applies when firing a healing-redeemer in attempt to heal yourself, but when you fire it, the weapon switches to a different gun, like a freezing weapon, and the redeemer loses it's healing properties and turns into a freezing deemer instead...

dunno if that's the same reasoning, but it's the same concept
I've noticed that the monsters summoned by monster masters can be killed, not only by the master, but by anybody (meaning teammates)...

is this by design?? or a bug? I hate pumping out 100 adreneline for something that can be destroyed by some irritated team mate with a flak cannon...
what's the server IP? I'll try to replicate when i get home

none of that system information is related to your network...

please list your router make and model (like: Linksys WT54G)... and connection method (Ethernet, Wireless, HPNA)... doesn't make sense that you would have packet loss starting at wave 7 tough... what exactly is occurring that causes you to suspect packet loss?
ah yes... one last troubleshooting step... I'll be eliminating the PING factor to put an end to this B/S "it's a lag issue"... NO... it's NOT a LAG issue...

my server is a full installed retail version that's setup manually, and whom's interface is only touched to simplify some of the editting (like monster manager)...

I'll load it up, load all the mutator's like I'm going to host a game, but i'll do it all in INSTANT ACTION... bet you fifty bucks i can still reproduce it >
I really don't know why everyone thinks this is ping related... it's a coding issue... it can be reproduced at will on my server now... just die, and pray the bots survive a wave... when you come back, you'll be lucky to have standard weapons (translocator, shield gun, assault rifle), but I guarantee you won't be able to pick up any weapons...

die again, and you'll be lucky if you spawn back with anything...

this is in my Insane RPG Invasion mode (default mode, actually)...

Tomorrow, I'll be trouble shooting it by removing any mods that have to do with inventory other than RPG and attempting replicating the issue... if I find a conflict, I'll let you know, but I remember trying this before, and it failed... i've removed Spider Steroids, Transpider, Vacuum Combo, sentinel 24's previously, and nothing worked...

I think this has something to do with items/abilities that are generated on a character when he's spawned.... this also seems to occur more often on Monster Master's, although I'll be bouncing back and forth to test everything... hope I can nail it down can't guarantee I can fix it though, I'm not used to the UT coding
wow i disappeared for the longest time... I'm not having this issue anymore, and i did manage to get individual nali's to come up... WHOA i forgot about my idea for individual skaarj! I'm totally adding that :]

reconnect on last wave when you're the only person on a server, let's see how that works out... I have this issue too... I'm hoping it's been fixed somewhere... any word would be appreciated
hate to resurrect such an old topic, but this issue still occurs on my server and it's NOT lag... this occurs MOSTLY after dying and coming back, either when returning on a new wave, or when being resurrected (I have a resurrection mod on my server)... however, before the resurrection mod, this was an issue (completely different server build)... this also used to occur on my friend SkY's server...

actually SkY's server was similar where you would spawn with your weapons but not be able to switch, or fire... the solution on his was to throw the weapon you were currently holding... this would allow you to switch to and use all weapons, then you could pick up the weapon you just threw...

SkY's server was about 3 to 5 years ago, so this issue has been around for a while... any resolution to this?
this issue still exists on my server:

UT2004 2.2 and Druids200... other mods as well, but I'm not at home to post them... any information would be GREATLY appreciated... it seems to occur more for monster masters than any other class (I created one and holy crap this glitch occurs more often than not)...

it's not always shield gun that remains... sometimes, instead, it's translocator, or flak... it's random... sometimes the weapon fires, sometimes it does not...

sometimes there's nothing left... and sometimes you'll appear to have everything, and when you switch weapons, the weapon you were just on will disappear
