Heres a couple more for yah.
Always invisible, yet never out of sight. What
are they?
I have a neck, but no head. I have two arms, but no hands.
What am I?
A beggar's brother died, but the man who died had no brother.
How could this be?
A 6-foot tall Magician had a water glass and was holding the
glass above his head. He let it drop to the carpet without
spilling a single drop of water.
How could he manage to drop the glass from a height of
six feet and not spill a drop of water?'
See yah in game
The beggar is a chick, and "a water glass", probably had no
water in it as "water glass" would be what the glass is called,
the way the riddle is worded.
Not sure about the first two.

You may long for its return, but I short for its return.

I was going to do this, but from what I can see, I have the same settings.... mine looks like this
[Engine.Engine]
RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice
Only difference from what I have and what you posted is the semi-colons, is that what changes it?
In the UT2004.ini having a semi-colon";" before at the begining of line "comments out" the line. It essentailly tells the game to ignore everything on that line. If there is no semi-colon , the game will try to process that line.
In this case, that means that the one line that DOESN'T have a semi-colon is the type of rendering the game will use. by default, DirectX is the one not commented out. To switch rendering methods, you switch the semi-colons around accordingly.
But to simply answer your question:
Yes.

Tad Williams: Otherland Series (If you dig scifi/cyberpunk, you MUST read these books)
I recieved the first book in the Otherland series a year or two ago as a gift, and I must say it is indeed wonderful. I'm so lazy it hurts, as I have yet to get around to finding/buying the rest of the series. How are you SUPPOSED to pronounce !Xabbu's name? I just pretend the "!" isn't there, and go the way of the xylophone in terms of pronounciation.
While I'm making this post, I might as well make amends for a book that I forgot to put in my list:
Enders Game
I know, I know, it's a already popular book that's been around for a while, but whatever. If you like Sci-fi and you haven't read Enders Game, I impore you to do so, or else your life is forfiet.

Some good cyberpunk (at least in my eyes) is William Gibson's "Neuromancer."Its pretty tech heavy, but an amazing read.
Yeah, when I was browsing some books earlier today I saw Neuromancer, but I wasn't really sure if I wanted to put the money down for it. Based on your recomendation, I'll buy it after I buy a few more books in the Star Wars: New Jedi Order series.

I like alot of books in the Forgotten Realms group, its a fantasy group of books. Usually, one story is interetwined with another one, directly or indirectly...
Yeah, I've read some Forgotten Realms books. Most recently I read R.A. Salvatore's Icewind Dale trilogy. My only other knowledge of Forgotten Realms comes from the game Neverwinter Nights. Which is an awesome game, and not just because I live in the same city as BioWare.

So does anyone else here like cyberpunk fiction?
I've read a couple Shadowrun books. Does that count? The books I read would have been good if the author had chosen a better proffesion than a Shaman for the main character. Somehow the having final climax in the last book of a trilogy end in a Shamanistic dance off left me a little unsatisfied. Otherwise I liked it. My brother loves the SNES game Shadowrun for some reason. Or is it Shadowrunner?
Meh.

I'm a Fantasy/Sci-Fi book nerd. My favorite author is Piers Anthony. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend reading his "Incarnations of Immortality" book series (the genre is sci-fi/fantasy) as I swear (gasp I swore, don't ban me!) it is the best fantasy/sci-fi series I have ever read in my entire existance.
Incarnations of Immortality:
On A Pale Horse
Bearing an Hourglass
With a Tangled Skein
Weilding a Red Sword
Being a Green Mother
For Love of Evil
And Eternity
Another GREAT series
Bio of a Space Tyrant:
Refugee
Mercenary
Politician
Exectutive
Statesman
The Iron Maiden
Other Piers Anthony series to read:
Aprentice adept series (7 books), Xanth series(30ish books), and MODE series(4 books). The Xanth series is.... full of puns. It's one of the things I read as a teen that probably has contributed a bit to my somewhat dehydrated humour.
I can't seem to find e-book versions of Bio of A Space Tyrant or Incarnations of immortality.
And as a note, some conservative parents probably wouldn't want their children reading Bio of a Space Tyrant or the MODE series until they are in their teens.

New engine. That's why those are called tech demos.

I hate reviving old threads, but I'm feeling alive today.
Anyways, I recently picked up a new free mmo game involving hot massive battleship action.
As a result, I will probably be frequenting DC less for a while, until my massivebattleshipholycrapthisisreallyfun- phase passes.

On a more on topic related note, it was agreed when we voted in CTF-Derelict-Version2 that it really should go. Other than the molasses quick gameplay, it sent everyone's frame rate in to the blender.

Calling maps that aren't played often "not cool" is a bit ignorant. The server has plenty of great maps, it just that most people will play the same maps over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. There are a lot of great, fresh, maps that just don't get played as much because people don't know that they are good. And because they don't know if they are good, they vote for maps they have played and remember.
When I played Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade, I saw this type of behavior all the time. The first Mix of DDR had maybe a dozen songs, and with each subsequent mix more and more songs were added. These new songs were just as great as the original ones, if not better. But whever I viewed the "Player's Best" list (list of the most played songs) I'd always see many of the songs from the first DDR Mix up on the top of the most played. A lot of the great, new, songs were not played nearly as much.
But because this server allows the majority decide what map to play, the majority almost always go for the tried tested and true.
I've been playing this game for nearly a year now, and I am sick and tired of playing Goliath. I am sick and tired of playing Gael. I am sick a tired of playing Phobos. I always have the choice of playing on another server, but there is no other server like DC.
