That's why I would lean towards the power supply as well. Or heat?

Wow - that would be a really bad issue with RAM. Typically that type of error would be corrected and just flagged as a bad spot (or at least logged in the error message). Did you see anything in the event logs?

I read in an article the other day that if you put $250.00 per month away for 40 years, you will have an egg nest of over 7 digits. Unfortunately, there are very few folks that can do that while trying to raise a family, pay bills, and cover the essential expenses of living
Very true - not many of us that had to start from zero (and possibly more than once) could afford that. When I first got married we didn't go hungry, but saving $250 (or even $100) was just impossible for us.
Again, glad you are getting to retire at all - some of us may never have that luxury. Though I've never had my own business, this might be the time to get that going but it is one of the biggest risks - I wouldn't want to dump money into it that I could have used for retirement. Tough choice.

Nice! Congratulations and best of luck.
I still have a few years to go but may take longer since I'm looking at changing jobs after 20 years.
Enjoy your retirement and again, congratulations

Happy New Year DC'ers - hopefully 2012 will be much better.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year! 2012... why does that ring a bell??

I just hope they don't take too many liberties with the story - for example, in the book there were no elven archers in the battle of Helms Deep.

Hope it's better than the movie "Hackers" I tore that one apart.... they really played on the ignorance of the public.
Not related to the movie - this is more of a history of hacking and the hacker mentality. Written by Steve Levy and published originally in 1984 with a few updates since then. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackers:_Heroes_of_the_Computer_Revolution

An old series I liked by R.A. Salvatore was The Cleric Quintet (Canticle). I don't just read fantasy - currently reading an old book titled "Hackers" about the history of computer hacking.

I'm going to go with the same card but will have to wait after Christmas due to other commitments and unexpected expenses (sigh).
And Demon, I can't play the fast-twitching games as well as I used to, so I favor the slower RPG-style games now.

If you like fantasy, try the Iron Tower trilogy by Dennis L. McKiernan and then the other books in the Mithgar series. Influenced by Tolkien, of course, but much more accessible in my opinion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_L._McKiernan

90 degrees is very high so this might be heat-related (remember that is in centigrades, not farenheit)
