Oh, and Ovaltine is actually quite popular here. I had roommates once that didn't drink coffee or soda, so they tried to get me interested in Ovaltine. I think it's nasty stuff. Nasty nasty. Back to my coffee....

personally don't find the chat spamming to be that bad at all. It's actually nice to play on a server where the members are actually friendly with each other, not just a list of silent players on the scoreboard.

Just to clarify, we have NO problem whatsoever when multiple people want to carry on a conversation (assuming it follows the rules of the server). That is not considered chatspam. Honestly, I don't play Unreal single-player because the game is not that exciting- it's the people on the server that make it interesting.

That being said, if someone is frequently talking to dead air, responds to every single thing that someone else says, informs everyone of every weapon they pick up, or talks a great deal about nothing (especially when the server is full), this is not okay. It is a waste of our bandwidth, and creates unnecessary lag for other players.

Somehow, though, I have a feeling most of the people reading this thread are not the problem.

No, it's not a bug. Just forgot to add that in. Shield guns can also be vorpal. Thanks for catching that.

X, the chat filter censors the word "god" because most people use it in a fashion that may be offensive to some. In his infinite sense of humor, Dru told it to replace this with "goddess." The person who wrote the chat filter code stated that the new version would allow us to do this (instead of it entering into an infinite loop like it used to). However, it instead gets confused, tries to enter "goddess" and then replaces the "god" in "goddess" once to = "goddessdess." This will be fixed if we happen to think of it on the next reset.

It's a typo! That's why i'm in counseling psychology instead of math.

The RPG FAQ is now up. It's not all fancied-up, but it has all the data there. It includes a full listing of all the skills, what each level costs, an Experience Table, and more! Eventually, it will have screenshots and such of the different weapon types.

As for me, I am a one-addiction-at-a-time kinda girl. When we have nodefests (LAN parties), I enjoy playing Starcraft. In the recent past, I played Diablo2, Warcraft3, and Kohan.

As for before that, I've played lots of games, on Nintendo, SuperNES, Playstation, Sega Genesis, and PCs. My first game ever was Wizardry on my little PC Jr.

Well, since I have been chided by many for not posting anything about myself in our own forum, here it is. (Why does this feel like a personal ad? I blame Cloud34! You're fired! J/K) I like long walks at night on the beach...

Anyway...So this server belongs to Druid and I, and we live in Salt Lake City, UT (think Winter Olympics 2002). Our server has been going for over a year now. Druid does all the technical stuff, such as his lovely modifications to the RPG mod. I mostly just squish monsters, ban grumpy people, and tease fun people. I will also be doing some work on the website soon (I promise, Oki!).

So, I'm 24, and I'm a doctoral student in counseling psychology. In 3 and a half more years, I will officially be Dr. Shantara (or something like that). Most of my time is spent doing school stuff, including counseling people and avoiding studying, and playing Unreal. I also work a few hours a week as a research assistant. I also love to go dancing (generally 80s or gothic music), camping, skiing (no snowboarding for me!), and watch lots of movies (leaning more towards the artsy-independent stuff).

Druid and I don't have any kids, but we do have one Kick The Cheat, which I just got as a present.

He makes noises when you push on his side. If you don't know who The Cheat is, go to www.homestarrunner.com. We don't have any pets, either, but eventually I will talk him into finding a cat, and when we actually finish our backyard fence, a dog, too.

So that's a tidbit about me.
