I found an Onslaught server that has our cylons as custom bots

http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/63.211.105.170:7777/
I think there were some errors in the upl file. I remember having to edit it to get them to work correctly on my machine, online or off. I also added several custom characters with different armor combinations from the 4 default characters.

Also be careful using Jafo's bot manager with this character (and several others.) This character needs 3 textures specified, for some reason the bot manager deletes one of the textures from the upl.

Hey, sorry I never got back to you on this... I haven't had much time for UT lately. I probably won't be working on any skinning or anything for a while, but I'll try to pop in from time to time, and maybe polish up a few old projects.

4)opening portals (like the game portal if you have seen any game plays of it or played it yourself, this feature might be a tad difficult to make).

I've seen a portal gun mod running on deathwarrant's invasion server. I think it worked via an artifact, and there could only be one portal instance server.

Overall, most of the things you mentioned are already done in some fashion or would fit well with the engineer class. For example, I've always thought that engineers should be able to repair or even upgrade translocator discs.

Your newborn is very cute! Congrats!

My son is already 8 and it seems like yesterday he was that little. They grow up quickly!

Hi ya road kill
I run a server and i was thinking of asking one of my admins to make this guy into a monster for invasion. This Battlestar robot is really cool was thinking of putting him on a wave with a bender boss. What a team they would make lol..
Basically i'm asking for permission to do so, since its your skin.
oops... its the BattleStarGalacticaCylons2 skin for ut2k4..

Sorry for posting this in the UT3 skins spot on the forums Duh!!! ops:

Sounds cool. Please post the mod files here too. I like playing invasion in single player, and if you were to add some cylon voice clips to the monster, it would be even cooler.

happy holidays

I haven't started on it yet, but I will this weekend. I've been polishing up a few of my old WiPs the last few days and finally released this skin pack:

http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/57339 Please note that some of the skins in that pack might be considered too risque for this server.
I can work on it and I'm looking forward to using it, but skinning it will take longer than the last one. I probably won't start on it until after the holidays, and I have much less free time at the moment.

Go ahead and send me what you have.

If you want to forward it to me I can fix the eyes make the texture look a little better, and add team skins if needed.

Polycount really isn't a big deal if you take advantage of your LOD settings.

how do I do so ? for the model? or in-game ?

When you get it into Unreal Ed, you can adjust LOD settings. If you load the the other cylon (I edited the LOD on that one) and adjust the settings to approximately the same it should work well-in game.

And congrats on the baby

Looking good! Legs and arms should be close to the same length, and head is a bit too small, but other than that, very nice. I can see you put a lot of effort into this one.
It's on skin city now. I've also uploaded it onto a few game file sites:

Skin City: http://skincity.beyondunreal.com/?section=models&action=show_infos&id=704

Thread at Epic: http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=641269

FPS Bananas: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/55174
That first part there looks spot on. And these would be perfect to go with the last pack.

I'm not sure if I'll have much time to help out with the skin this time, but I can send you my psd files from the last one if you'd like (dust, scratch, color overlays, etc.)

The shader effects from the last one should work pretty well on this new one too, so that should remove some of the work from skinning. You'll need new alpha textures too, but the basic metallic look should carry over well, just needs to be a bit less shiny. The base texture will also need to be more detailed too.

Also a big difference between this model and the last is that these guys are supposed fire directly from their arms. I've seen a few models like that, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement.
He must be playing on PS3 or 360.

I've rented and played the first few levels on the Wii version. Controls are a bit confusing at first, but you'll quickly become used to them. The force powers really stand out, but you get used to that tried and true videogame convention: Not everything you'd expect to break breaks. Only parts of walls can be exploded. Many barrels are indestructable no matter how many times you toss them.

Graphics are decent but not amazing. My son (7) remarked that the outer space scenes looked "fake."

The versus battle mode is pretty fun, but I'm not sure how balanced it really is. Some of the arenas have an open pit in the middle. My son and I took turns grabbing each other with the force, moving the other person to the middle of the pit, and letting go for an instant kill. All in all it's a fun game, and especially worth playing if you're Star Wars fan.

Looks great must be Black-Ops Cylon needs a Camo version to go with it
the Cylon model will be posted shortly on Skin City (Monday my guess) Woohoo

thanks so much for your AWESOME job skinning Jefe

Thanks. I just uploaded the new version to my bc. I assume SaD got the skin working then.

Could you email SaD and tell him to post the new one? It contains the new skin and several revisions.
