Hello all,

In order to organize the forums better and make threads easier to find, please keep your posts to the most appropriate forum. If you want to say "hi" or chit-chat, that is what Clan and Player Banter is for. If you want to discuss what you like or don't like about Druids RPG, then post it in the Druids RPG forum.

This makes it easier for folks to find what they are looking for, helps ensure that the same questions aren't being asked in many different places, and helps people to skip through what they don't want to read to what they do want to read.

Nice to have you on board, Mr. Jiggles, but there is a Clan & Player Banter forum where you can introduce yourself properly. This forum is for server technicalities and other such information.

I also deleted everyone's responses to your post in order to keep the forum's focus.

Certain people on the server seem to be unclear on some of the rules, particularly DO NOT INTENTIONALLY KILL TEAM PLAYERS. This includes do not intentionally suicide nuke or ion painter.

If you see someone breaking the rules and you are upset about it, email the admin. Choosing to "fix" the situation yourself by suicide nuking the guilty party will only get you banned as well.

Instructions for posting about new maps:

1) In order to make it easier for people to find posts they want to respond to, please include only one map (or map pack) in each post. That way people can vote yea or nea on each map individually, and no one gets confused.

2) Please post a working link for the map. This will save everyone time and make sure that we're all looking at the same map.

3) Due to ongoing problems with UnrealPlayground and GameSpot, if you find a map on either of those sites that you like, you will need to upload the file to FileFront yourself, or find it elsewhere.

4) Please only post maps that can easily accomodate 10-20 people on Invasion. In particular, do not post 1-on-1 maps or maps of similar size.

5) The rules of the server also apply to maps. In particular, we will not put any additional MPC maps on the server due to inappropriate content.

If anyone has this issue, please ask if other people in game noticed it or not. That way we can determine if it is a bug.

I have noticed a number of times when someone will say that they didn't get a message, but other people in the game saw it (we all get a little busy killing things sometimes

I disagree. Maintaining adrenaline is not that difficult (and I have done this with a low-level character) even without the adrenaline skills. I've never even tried adrenal surge and the like, so I'm assuming this would get even more out of hand with those, but even with just an energy weapon triple damage is pretty burly. It doesn't need to be more so.

Besides, can you imagine someone with damage bonuses maxed, doing 6x the damage of their weapon? It would enable high level players to kill everything before anyone else had even a chance to do so.

Okey my turn so we can have some more variety in this mix. Genre-wise I tend towards synth and goth (I wasn't kidding when I said I had a Morticia dress

), but I like some folk, some classical, some 80s hair bands, some Euro-pop-whatever Dru calls that stuff he listens to all day, ummm, and other stuff.

Artists that I am particularly fond of include: Ani Difranco, The Cure, Howard Jones, Indigo Girls, Delerium, and They Might Be Giants.

There was a time when I liked artists like NIN, but they just don't speak to me as much anymore. I don't like contemporary rap- some 80s old school rap, before being misogynistic was so predominant in rap. I also don't like country, although I did during high school. Those are about the only two genres that I don't like altogether.

You know, everytime I see that one skin that DD used to use, I still think of him. I think I would be surprised to meet him and not see this guy with no shirt and green hair.

Okay, so here's our "official" response/gizmo/whatever, and then all of us of the legal age can go have a cold beer.

We do happen to understand the meaning of the word, and argued over disallowing it outright. This is the conclusion we came to:

Much as we might wish differently, we don't speak enough other languages to be able to police everything. Somebody could come on and start saying nasty stuff in Romanian that would get them banned in English, but we wouldn't know.

Therefore, it does not seem fair from our point of view to say we'll just ban you for the few words in other languages or cultures that we do understand without looking for all words from that language or culture that are nasty. It also seems like an incredible ordeal to attempt to do so. As it is, we spend a lot of time reviewing chat logs and such just for American-English nastiness.

So, we're restricting it to just American culture. If someone from another culture were to find something offensive from their culture that we didn't catch and report it to us, we would certainly be happy to deal with it then. Otherwise, we'll assume nothing untoward is happening.
