Nice my brother! I am in about the same boat. 6yrs 7mo and I'll have 25 in the school system, but I'll only be 45. Pretty much with our State Retirement System I'm in, you don't grain much after 25 yrs of service, so I'll probably change jobs to either a personal business or try to get into either the cable or satellite companies here, pick up another 20 years in their retirement system and pull 2x plus what little SS I'll get, and still only be 65. ; )

If you like fantasy, try the Iron Tower trilogy by Dennis L. McKiernan and then the other books in the Mithgar series. Influenced by Tolkien, of course, but much more accessible in my opinion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_L._McKiernan

Very neat trilogy, and duology (second set of books), I liked them a lot. Easy going read, very JRRT influenced.

I started the Hobbit again the other day, plan on the whole series plus Silmarillion and Hurin. Gets you through the holidays/cold tucked into a corner with a nice tea or brandy with a good book and a favorite blanket.

I have found I really like RA Salvator. Not just the Drizzt series, explore his other projects if you have time. I really liked the Crimson Shadow. I also was spreading out a little and picked up the first Harry Dresden novel by Jim Butcher and couldn't stop buying them. Really cool look at how magic could be employed, and the whole Dime Store Detective novel approach keeps you reading.
Sweet! I've seen a lot lately in technology improvements that have me thinking that some of the stuff we saw or imagined as kids could really be viable working things if not all in our life times, our childrens at least. Anyone thinking "Deus Ex" ? LOL
Dom they have a new geriatric med out I saw on an infomercial the other morning, MentalBeaNo, talk to your doctor. LOL
I'm the same Cham, My wife got it for me on Christmas and I finally got around to playing the past couple of weeks. Not mulit yet, but as ever name will be Emetakleze when I do get in.
Happy After Birthday Birthday! 34 huh, that is the epitome of youth! Wait till you get to my ripe old age of 38! Your bones ache, you can't understand your kids music anymore, and "staying up late" is watching the Discovery channel after 9 pm, LOL.
Just think how cheap fertilizer is going to be though!
Occam's Razor, lex parsimoniae!
Sweet brother! Glad it was that easy!
We had the exact same problem with a 750I INTEL 775 DDR2 , after 2 rma's and a lot of phone tech, we ended up with an interesting issue. Seems the cpu we were using (E6500, fresh out of the box) , though listed as being supported, was not. We did a BIOS roll back to an earlier release, plugged in a Pentium D 3.4 I had in my machine and it ran like a dream. Purchased a E7500 duo and updated the bios upon install and it has run w/ no glitches for over a year.
Perhaps check that your cpu is truly supported, or barrow a different one from someone for a bench? Or do a BIOS roll back to 1016 (I see from one of the screen shots on ebay that it is 1017). They are available from the ASUS. I couldn't find one on the Alienware site.

Here is an interesting quip found in a forum:

Happy New Year my friends! Hope it is a happy, healthy, and safe year for us all!
The boss got me Black Ops for Christmas, and Nic got a new graphics card, so I get his XFX GTS 250 super overclock edition. >
Also still playing Oblivion and rarely lately some L4D2.

now on the hitching side here in the states we use the thumb to ask for a ride..in Germany and most of Europe as I was told when I 1st got over there they point with the Index finger down the road to ask for a ride since the thumb will more likely get your butt ran over or tromped by someone since its something bad ( they refused to tell us what it meant lol)

Interesting reading....

Um zero fingers equals fist!

And 1 finger can be many different things.
1 can be used for hitch hiking, and another can be used if the car didn't stop to pick you up.

LOL!

Again, when you count, say on the fingers, do you start with zero or one? Most folks, including myself, start with one, thus ending with ten.

But really you do start with zero when counting your fingers. You just don't consciously say "zero fingers" before you start to count them. Then the first one is one, and so forth...
