One of the best models around....but everyone and their momma uses it.
I used it for a little while until I literally saw four others using my skin on one map.

Just curious if DC has ever held a tournament, or if it has been considered.
With so many great players on this server, it'd be fun and interesting to see some type of tournament. (friendly competition of course)
Heck, I'd be happy to just spectate whilst the top players battle it out. Not sure what the rules would be...round robin, single elimination based on score, point-based contest rewarding various accomplishments....
Anyhoo, just throwin' it out there.

Just wanted to say a heart-felt thank you to Dru and Shan for providing a great place for us to game.
Also, thanks to all you wonderful folks for making me feel like a member of the family. I appreciate it, and there is no other place I'd rather get my UT fix than here at DC.
Kudos to all, and see ya round!
Here's to DC and everyone that makes it special!

PS3 does look impressive, but I have strayed from the consoles as of late. There are fewer "console exclusive" games that make me want to run out and by the console just to play them. I have a PS2 and a Gamecube and I'm not planning on any more in the near future.
The demos I've seen of the Wii look intriguing(sp?), but we'll see what they do with the technology. Gimmicky stuff like the Nintendo DS are just like frosted mini-wheats....sugar-coated, and you dump 'em before the day is over.

Here's a pic of me with my nephew on my wedding day a few years back. He's the cutest kid ever.
(yes I know I look like I'm about 16...my wife robbed the cradle, lol)

Here's another great GW link. It's got nice shiny maps for elite skill locations, weapons lists, armor lists, FAQ's and much, much more.

Hey Dirty.
Feel free to add me to your friends list. I'm usually on late afternoon/evening.
My two main chars are Shattuk Palistrade and Ulirch Belle.
I'd be happy to help you out with missions, farming, whatever.

Updated all my drivers and did a full reinstall.
Everything seems to be working fine now. Must have had a corrupted file somewhere.
Back in the game.

I'm having some major issues since the server went down.
I am getting CTDs and having problems with weapons.
After playing for a few minutes, my weapons go haywire. Some weapons will not fire. The weapon will make the firing noise, but no projectiles come out. Other times, the weapon will fire, but continues to fire even after I let off the fire button. The projectiles for that weapon will continue to be visible even if I switch weapons.
Then every so often I CTD and get an critical error message from UT.
Here's the last one I got:
UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1401 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 (5303)
Assertion failed: VoiceInfo [File:.\UnChan.cpp] [Line: 1829]
History: UVoiceChannel::ReceivedBunch <- UChannel::ReceivedSequencedBunch <- Direct <- UChannel::ReceivedRawBunch <- DispatchDataToChannel <- BunchData <- UNetConnection::ReceivedPacket <- UNetConnection::ReceivedRawPacket <- UTcpNetDriver::TickDispatch <- UpdatePreNet <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=3) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level iFullTower <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free
Until the server went down, everything ran smooth as silk.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd just like to echo some of the previous comments and say that it's no biggie.
A big thanks to Dru and Shan for providing a fun and friendly server for us Unreal junkies to game on.
Keep up the good work and don't stress yourselves out over this.

Being a (mid-level) LA player, let me throw in my .02
First, I agree 150% that player skill is indeed king. Having a plethera of skills at high levels helps tremendously, but I regularly see lower level players putting up some respectable scores.
I have chosen a somewhat unusual path for spending my skill points. I focused first on the basic bonuses (damage red., health, etc.) with the exception of max ammo and adren. I maxed out the other bonuses while picking up LA lvl. 1 and Energy Leech 1 along the way.
A player of decent skill can fill up his adren meter pretty quickly, and it hasn't been a problem for me yet, so I haven't bothered with increasing Leech. Maxing weapon speed helps with this too.
Next, I went straight to getting Denial 3. This is the LA player's next best thing to LW.
Since the flak is my best friend most of the time, I'm going to split my future skill points between getting cautiousness and adren max.
I think I do pretty well on putting up decent scores considering my current skills (or lack thereof).
I enjoy this class quite a bit, and it still holds tons of potential.
