Wildfire... LA certainly "rules the roost", right now. There are many advantages...

Is it that LA rules the roost, or that many of the persons currently playing LA rule the roost, particularly when playing LA??

320 is a high level player, so I will trust his statement. Although.... there are a few LW players around which may challenge the "LAs rule the roost" statement.

First, how many of you are looking at the LA players without having the experience of having played one

It's a bit unfair to ask someone to dedicate many hours to the LA character before allowing them to comment on it.

My lvl 24 LW player average score is probably nearly that which I got with my lvl 90 LA player

Not that I doubt you but this is hard to believe. I wouldn't mind seeing a recent score from your LW player compared to a recent score from your LA player. It looks like you like numbers and comparing, so I think you might enjoy it. I only ask this because I think the classes are pretty equal, no one seems to be running away with the scores when there is a player of equal level from another class playing against them.
You might want to remove the link until you fet it fixed. Not everyone reads the whole thread before downloading.

If we've lost him, it's not due to "no where to go", but more than likely we've lost him to another game. It happens ... I myself would be stuck (and have been for most of a weekend) in GalCiv2 if I kept starting new games in that.

You are, sorry to say, not reading my post completly.

He's moved onto other games.

Now, back to the topic, I just think a few more skills or a few more levels to the skills would be a nice reward for those who put in the time.

Alright, maybe the skys the limit is going too far, but what I'm suggesting is make each level progressively harder to get. I.E. cost more stat points.

In the case of dirty_deeds, he's been playing since 12/19/2004, which for those who don't want to count, that's coming up on a year and a half of playing. If all skills were doubled and the stat points to purchase those extra skills increased to triple, then we're talking at least another four and a half years (1.5 tripled is 4.5) before he would reach those goals. Thats a total of six years before a (good) player would run out of things to spend stats on.

As it is now, he hasn't been here playing in the past month or two, and I have a feeling it's because there's no reason to increase his character any, there's nowhere to go. He's moved onto other games. If given something to shoot for we may be graced with his presence again.
I wouldn't mind seeing some of the present skills have their levels increased. I.E. Weapon Speed increased to 100, Health Bonus 300, Max Adrenaline 500, etc...

This would give up and comming playes a wider choice of their favorite skills and high level players something to spend their unused stats on. I see some of the players have nearly or fully exhausted their choices and now have nothing to use their stats on, I say the skys the limit, there's no reason to limit them.

In regards to partial stat resets, it is not new. This has always been our policy, due in part to the large number of reset requests, as well as how much more complicated it is to do line-item resets.

I imagine it would be tough and tedious to correct just a few items, some effort should be taken by the player to correct his/her mistakes.

yea tournaments would be nice, but if you use rpg skills some ppl will have way much health/damage then other people, right?

Most people withe the high RPG skills have been neglecting their 1V1 way of playing and would be at a disadvantage there.

ok thanks for the answer

Could you make your thread header a little more discriptive than just "question" in the future?
I think the cars make up for their lack of weapons, so be kind to them.

The mod actually needs to be specified on the command line of ut2004 - the shortcut that the installer for the mod provides didn't work without some editing; however, the .bat file in the UD directory did work properly.

what are these edits you speak of?
Although I can play on DC server, if I go to the community page and select this mod I get a Runtime error. Should I reinstall Visual Basic? or could there be some other problem?
I'm all for map changes when there's a problem, I just don't like the constant "vote this map off" reminder every thirty seconds. Once is enough, maybe twice, after that it becomes harassment and chat spamming. Don't tell me to place that person on ignore, that's not the point, it only needs to be said once and if it's not voted off then go do something else and quit bugging us. Go bully the weird kid down the block. There is always dishes and clothes to be washed, heck, throw the dishes in with the wash and see what happens, or go help Kitfox with his.

I like ONS because it's a welcome change from the same 15 maps that we always play.

Although I know it's democratic, I also know democracys can still make mistakes.

Although, if this democracy makes a mistake, it only lasts 45 minutes. I think we can cope with that.

Maybe I'll try to find a few more like that so everyone can live in peace...

Why cant there be peace no mater what type we play?

I've had this too. On waves 14, 15, and 16 my weapons disappear or if I use a MWM on a weapon it disappears. For me this goes on for about a week then POOF! I'm OK again. (during the week I cleared cache, disconnected and reconnected, reinstalled game, cleaned my DSL house filter, defragmented HD, checked for spyware and viruses, nothing helped, although I have a very nice running machine now )
How about Ooo and MandaPanda? With his recent scores he's quite a catch.
