Yup, sometimes we need that fabled "wakeup call" to snap out of it and make something out of ourselves - I had mine three decades ago.

Finally someone who understands what I'm saying. As for taking classes and such, right now, I need to make some money so I can pay for them, along with buying a car. After that, I'm gonna take courses to get my credits and gpa up, then go from there.
Well, this past semester was my third straight semester on academic probation, so that is probably out of the question. Besides, I need to take this into my own hands now. I'm done letting others give me chances, now I'm taking them. I'm finally looking forward, and even though it has taken me a while, its what I needed.
My Xbox Live name is Macadamia87. Anybody else feel like sharing? lol
Hey all, I have some rather disappointing news about myself. As a result of my actions this past semester, I was academically dismissed from my college. Thought I'd let you all know, since I believe some of you care somewhat lol. Anyways, it may have been the wake up call I needed, as harsh it seems. And I have a plan, so now I'm on the right track.

So I saw, I Am Legend this evening. I had very high expectations because it seemed like an amazing premise. The movie as a whole is good, different from many other survival/disaster movies. Will Smith is amazing in it, his best performance in my opinion, and the special effects (like the destroyed NY city) are pretty amazing. The story is interesting, but I thought it could be explained a more than it was. It's easy to understand, but more of the backstory would have been nice. It's definitely a suspenseful movie, not necessarily scary, but my friends and I jumped in our seats many times. So if you're looking for a good above the average disaster or survival movie I would recommend this.

Some Spoilers possible

I may be biased, but I feel you underrated this movie. It was full of action, had some good comedy, along with one or two good messages. One message is that in our society, we aren't too far from a similar situation as in the movie. People are capable of anything, especially when it involves a loved one who is suffering (ie Cancer, as in the movie). It also makes you wonder what it must be like to live like that for 3 years, and how one can get by with a dog as your only companion (too sad about Sam ). Will Smith portrayed that role incredibly, nearly flawless. He even displayed the paranoia factor as if he had a real experience (the mannequin). And the suspense I felt throughout the entire movie, well lets just say . I definitely can't wait for the DVD, so that I can see the deleted scenes. All in all, I highly recommend this movie for everyone, especially fans of Will Smith, and those that read the novel it was based on (I'm currently looking now lol).

Hope this helps out your decision to see the movie. Next review from me will be National Treasure: Book of Secrets, followed by AVP: Requiem.

Think "bovine" then you'll get it.

Shan, your amazin' my head would've exploded.
And grats to Dru, for he's surrport of you, with that much pressure on Shan, a tiny portion must have spilled off to you.

And here I thought he was even older...... Yeah, I said it, but he's a fellow manic wombat hehe. Besides, I know he could destroy me in game any day. Happy birthday wombat, and remember to cherish your hair while you still have it
Well, right now I don't have a very good review, but I recently saw American Gangster. Definitely one of the best (if not THE best) movies starring Denzel Washington. He portrayed the character so greatly, it was as if he had first hand experience with the life of a gangster. Thats all I have for now. Expect a more full review of at least 2 movies out this month, which would be National Treasure: Book of Secrets, and I Am Legend.
Uber congrats Shan. I wish I had even half of the work ethic you seem to possess (any tips? hehe). Here's to your success *Raises a bottle of Sam Adams*
It must feel good to have all that testing over and done with, doesn't it.
Well, I actually played it a few days before it was released, though I am not gonna say how. I just wish I had the money to buy the game today, but I'm about $40 short. Guess I'm just gonna be a bum and play multiplayer with someone who does own it until I buy it. Can't wait to try the campaign mode though.

Bourne Ultimatum wasn't too bad. Boingo and I saw it. I would say that it was probably the best out of the three, but there was just something about it that made me not think it was a 'great' movie.

Yeah, PyRo and I just saw Ultimatum last night, loved it! The steadycam thing was rough for the first 10 minutes or so and then my mind settled into the groove and I had a total blast! Holy wicked fight & chase scenes, Batman!

...speaking of Batman, the teaser for the sequel to Batman Begins entitled The Dark Knight played before our movie...ooooh psyched!! Heath Ledger plays the Joker, I was skeptical at first, then I heard is voice in the trailer and yeah, no worries now. Then today, I found this promo poster with him in costume/makeup.

...and now, it's my must-see movie for 2008! The first one was incredible and this has the same cast&crew so yeah, oughta be awesome!

Anyway, back to work!

cheers.

Ok, so after seeing that picture, I'm still a little skeptical. But of course, after seeing Jack Nicholson as the joker, you can't picture anybody else in that role. But still, whoa
Well, I should be back in about 2 or 3 weeks. Prepare for it lol
I don't know why it just registered to me, but I can't believe my topic was made into a sticky lol

Oh, and also
