I understand the principles of having voice chat; team coordination and such, but since we don't necessarily need coordination since it's every man/woman for themselves, I find it useless. I find the voice chat to suppress the sound of everything quite a bit, which in turn ruins the mood. I have 7 point surround sound which i really like and i like to stay in that atmosphere of invasion. I managed to turn off voice chat on my computer but since we upgraded our other computer with a new motherboard and cpu and had to reload UT, we cannot turn off voice chat. I don't see what is so important that has to be said that can't be typed. "Hi", "Hello"... all can be typed. Unless your having a heart attack and someone online lives next door, then go ahead and voice... though i won't hear it.

I think the problem with people finding monsters is the fact that there is 20 people online playing on one map. What people need to find is where the monsters tend to spawn the most at. Plus, as time goes on, more people have better statistics and skills which means they become more efficient fraggers and therefore the monsters will tend to die off faster.
The range of levels in players is so great (levels 7 - 192) that it's nearly impossible to balance out the availability of monsters with players (make them too hard, the low level players complain; add more monsters, more stress on the server and higher level still kills even more monsters)
My advice, low level players play follow the leader and watch their strategy. Find the most frequent spawn points. Get Loaded Weapons 2 so you'll have spider mines (easiest way to earn points; "drop and go" weapon).
Also, just increasing the exp value of each monster is directly porportional to just adding more monsters to the server, if you get what I'm saying.
P.S. I think the difficulty setting is perfect for the range of skilled players we have on this server.

Here's a mod that has the gas bags shooting link ammo. I think it's an add-on so we may be able to keep the old gas bags also.

any idea how many poly's the current ones have? would it be worth the time and effort to create better looking monsters?

I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the models used with re-created models. Just like making a skin. Can't we just re-create a new skin and model and replace each monster with it? If that is possible, then that would give me more incentive to create skins. Anyone know if it's possible?

is this the alternative to downloading the rpg mod and then assigning a key to toss the artifact? I use this config which i think works good.
E = use artifact
R = scroll artifact forward
F = scroll artifact backward
M = toss artifact

try to figure out why adrenal drip stops working on occasions. I been trying to figure it out and so far its not the artifacts causing it.

happened again 6/23 around 10:00am PST on Bridge of Fate.
the only artifacts i used was monster summon for a warlord and MWM. i dont know if it was right away or not. i noticed it on wave 15 and i entered around wave 11.
next map, DM-DE-Osirus2, i tried the lightning artifact and MWM and monster summon but neither duplicated the effect throughout the whole wave. i'm gonna have to watch for the weapons i have now.

i dont think it's the weapon that is causing it. if any weapon would cause it, i would guess it would be a draining or energy, but we have to test that out first. just keep a record of when it happens, time and map.

I would suggest making the drain a bit slower and limiting it to a one time use only artifact. maybe even making it more rare to appear. other than that, i would rather use the 100 adrenaline for booster instead of a 5 second escape (that is what a transporter is for).

very positive. in fact, one night like around 1am or 2am pacific time, i started on a map, and that was the first thing i noticed. usually after the countdown, i should have 2 adrenaline but i still had zero. i had no artifact or adrenaline combo running because for one, that brings down the adrenaline.
i also posted this problem on mysterial's forum. but it would be nice if they get a little help on pushing the subject. Deunan has the same problem, adrenal drip stops working on occasions.
i'll try to duplicate the problem again to get more specifics, but as far as i know so far, it's totally intermittant and i'm not sure what is triggering it. plus i really just wanna play rather than troubleshoot.
the only combo i ever run is booster and the artifacts should not be affecting it. The best i can do is record when and what map it happens on and just relay it to you guys in this post.

This is very similar to the post i made two days before this one in the "Other Mods" section. Hopefully if everyone agrees then we'll get some results. It would be cool to see from Ice Warlords.

It's been working on Monster Assaults and Invasion but every now and then it will stop working. I can tell it works because for one, the adrenaline symbol pulsates as it increases. and two, i'll be doing nothing and suddenly i'll hear "Adrenaline Full". It's only by chance that I sit and watch my adrenaline that I notice it working or not. I'm usually too busy killing stuff to remember to check it. I'll just post in this one here whenever I notice it not working.

my adrenal dripped worked in the beginning.
then by later waves, it stopped working.

How do you turn it off. I had both of our computers turned off somehow but then we upgraded a motherboard and cpu and had to reinstall some things and now we can't get the voice chat to disable again. I've already did the User.ini file and many times tried messing with the sound options but we still here voices. The server does not have voice chat forced does it?
