I should really see if I can get a Shoutcast stream into UT2004's in-game mp3 player. If so, I'd totally go for friskyradio.com - it's basically 24/7 trance, so it's great to just groove to while playing games.

I overbrightened it (well, Levels adjust in photoshop, but same thing) for ya, taco. I like this skin, definitely grabbing it.

Mentioning Monster Assault reminds me that the number of lives is really quite limited on some MAS maps - and there are a couple MAS bugs as well - for example let's say I run out of lives, but then someone completes an objective and it gives me two more - I'm unable to respawn even though I have lives with which to do so.

A blanket x-lives-per-map and then no 'refreshing' per objective (or maybe just +1 per obj) would be ideal, I think.

as far as I know it's based on your player name and on your CD-key. So if you reinstall with the same CD key (I can't see why you wouldn't) and use the same playername you'll be fine.

I've played with my same stats from 2 PCs 2000 miles apart, same key and username. Of course my current PC just can't handle UT2004, so I haven't played lately

Probably because a lot of people don't care for it AND it was difficult to balance the FHI XP with the Invasion XP (In other words, people were abusing FHI - someone was proudly telling me how he could exploit an FHI map and get 3000xp per round)

so you have something many people don't like and something which is easy to abuse, hence making its removal (to me) welcome and realistic.

I agree with Cloud that it'd be great if piercing went through merc and Queen shields - going through the enemy (I assume that's what it does?) is very rarely useful. Going through those shields would be VERY useful.

Personally, I want to know two things:
1) Is there a maximum number of artifacts total (Dirty_Deeds says there is and I believe him, but I've forgotten to ask you if so) and what's the max if there is one?
2) Does anyone ever USE a Globe of Invulnerability?
