I've been playing UT since it came out way back when.
I didn't get all the upgraded versions, but had fun with what my PC could handle.

Before that... I was a MUD'er. Give me any PC with telnet capabilities and I had a blast =) Just ask the hotel I used to be night auditor for.... tweaked the 'reservation computer' to do my bidding during the night.

Kitty, on the DoubleDamage thing.... I'm probably guilty of that some. and if so, I do apologize. There are times when I'm just moving and trans'ing where I need to be and have tunnel vision on getting my hands bloody and all.
I'll try to pay more attention to not do that. On the other hand.... if the countdown is going and I see the double damage... I will go sit and wait, but my head is on a pivot and the first sight of another player... I grab and go. I'll waste some time on the countdown and all, but I won't have it stolen =)

A suggestion for the crazy nalis... Use your ears instead of your eyes =)

You can usually hear their shield guns going off behind you.
that's why alot of us gripe about the chatspam.

3D sound rocks. I wear headphones when I play because the sounds are so awesome and nicely directional.

Ok so back to the whole 'hate monsters' thing....

I hate warlords. I can't seem to TCB with them around.
I usually just rush them with my gun(s) blazing and hope vamp works well =)

There is also a toggle for weapon Auto Switch in the settings.

(like the others) I also suggest setting the weapon priorities (not only cause it's safer, but it's also more effective when it auto switches to a weapon you like using

I've turned off my auto-switching for awhile now. It works well for me, except when I'm not paying that much attention and my mini runs outta ammo, but looks and sounds like it's firing =)

I'd like the hook up on that one too.

I concur with Taco's concurance of this matter.

For example... I logged in yesterday morning to find 1 player on and guess what... playing LillyLiver.

So instead of being able to get all fragalicious before work... I had to run around because the player (LtYar) wouldn't vote to get to a new map.

I think I actually took a pic... 45mins to get to wave 11

Ok, I'm guilty of doing this... well sorta. I don't ask or try to get others to vote, but if it's like wave 16 and I'm dead... I go in and take a little more time checking for a map. I admit I do it early, but when you see me vote early, it's not trying to rush the map, it's just making sure I get my vote.

See, I'm an addict of nicotine and I will vote, then vacate to the outdoor enviornment to partake in my nasty addiction.

I saw what happened today and it's the usual 'new' crowd of noobs that were doing it. I wish we could do something about their rudeness, but I think it's just part of the internet. It's the same with the artifact stealing, purposeful blocking of mobs/shields, etc. It makes me mad too, but I figure it's more fun to get even anyway =)
