What a depressing week it has been. The interview went real well (he said so). I felt good about it. Thought I had it in the bag. Well, this week came and gone and no phone call. I called Thursday afternoon, left a voicemail telling him I enjoyed the interview and such, expressing interest in the job still and wanted to know if they had come to a decision yet. Nothing. Not a courtesy callback, nothing. And all week, have been waiting for a voucher for my next test...well, that didn't happen either. Still waiting. I don't know what is going on over there either. Seems to me that I have been abandoned this week. And I cant even play for more than a minute as my video keeps overheating and crashing my system or program. I feel doomed. Where's the vodka?

I had that problem too when I was job hunting. They say they'll call you either way, but when you call them you get nothing! Not knowing is way worse than a flat out "no". I know how ya feel

Wasn't Volvo acquired by Ford?

Geely
LOL

I actually experienced this first hand last year while using cruise control in my Dad's Prius. I didn't think much about it at the time, it gained about 15MPH over the limit I set on a flat road (not many hills in Phoenix ). It stopped as soon as I shut off the control. Though I have to say I'm glad I drive a Volvo!
Love it! Thanks Pyra!
Happy bday Dru!
Happy bday Dom!
I know that much! I left in the middle.
I missed part of the superbowl tonight, so I'm not sure if Lincoln aired any commercials to advertise this, but here's a link to a free download of two Shiny Toy Guns songs and a couple other artists (Sia and CSS). Enjoy!

i know this is for movies and all and i kinda mentioned it in the other thread but its worth mentioning twice! its a tv show called DEAD LIKE ME!!!! it was aired a few years back but its one of the best tv shows ive ever seen! im SO mad they canceled it after only 2 seasons and then made a not so great movie to "wrap it up" but seriously you need to watch it! if you have net flix its on instant watch!! 10/10!

YES! I LOVE that show! So original and hilarious. I bet you found it on netflix streaming.

I'm a little late to the show, but I finally saw Avatar. The dialogue made me want to blow my brains out... seriously. It's shockingly bad and pretty predictable, but I still enjoyed the movie nonetheless. And I really didn't get the whole "save the earth or else" vibe from it like I was expecting. Instead the take away (from my perspective) was basically don't be a jerk in cyberspace. Any of the main characters could have jumped out of their avatars and gone about their lives regardless of any acts they committed while connected, but they chose to be involved and treat their relationships with the Na'vi like anyone else... which really speaks to behavior I see online. People seem to think the veil of anonymity the Internet provides is an excuse to act rudely. I have to believe those individuals wouldn't behave in the same manner when dealing with people face to face when there are tangible consequences.

</ramble>Anyways, go see it. It's a beautiful movie

LOL I feel so loved! But Im afraid you would have to make one for the PS3 haha! Rockband and a couple other games have held me captive

So that's where you've been! My xbox friend invite is about to expire
Congrats you two!

I'm gonna say a week after the due date.
I own both systems now and they are both excellent choices, but for completely different reasons. The perfect system would be the PS3 hardware mated with the 360 software (minus the proprietary Windows Media garbage). With the PS3 you're getting a better multimedia machine with some strong PS exclusive games. All around, you're getting more bang for your buck. The 360 is much easier to jump in a game with friends and also has some excellent multiplayer games (like Left 4 Dead ).

If you're looking for a used system, I would personally feel much more comfortable buying a used PS3 versus a used 360. The 360 is SO cheaply made. That and coupled with the fact that older systems are more prone to failure. My 360 is a Jasper, so I haven't had any problems with RROD, but I would bet money that my DVD drive will probably fail in a couple years. The PS3 is solid, I've had mine for a year and it's been great. It streams video/music, plays blurays, surfs the web, and plays games without breaking a sweat.

Hard drive space isn't a huge concern on the PS3 because you can replace the hard drive yourself with any drive that is compatible. Sony even provides ways to migrate your data, which gets major kudos in my book. Micro$oft makes you pay out the nose for small proprietary hard drives - and you'll need the space, especially if you enjoy a quiet console. I import most of my games to my 360 hard drive so the noisy DVD drive doesn't buzz while I'm playing a game. There is a way to pry open the HD case and exchange it for a larger one, but you would probably incur the wrath of Microsoft.

If you compare both systems feature for feature, the 360 will cost you more in the end, but you will be more satisfied. I was... but partially because I know more people who play the 360 online than the Ps3.
