The debate, I think, is not what class is better or worse etc, but wether or not the different classes work well with other classes and compliment eachother. The main goal is of course to survive 16 waves and kill all the monsters, working together to achieve this goal. After playing for a year now it is very rare not to see a WM or LA character leading the scoring for a map, there are of course exceptions. Lately whenever I join into a map the engineers are at the top of the list using link turrets and Goliaths.
I dont know about everyone else but I take a certain amount of pride in being a WM and doing most of the killing( The reason I originally selected WM in the first place). When you kill very well and stay alive only to see yourself trailing engineers who are sitting there and shooting overpowered turrets etc. it is very discouraging.
I just dont see how engineers compliment the other classes.
IMO the only way this will work is if everyone becomes an engineer and we all know thats not going to happen.
Yes violater I also have gone off topic >-

Basically what I am saying is it seems awfully strange for 200+ level WMs to be trailing 50-75 level engineers, considering the WM is designed to do most of the "front line" fighting.
Two things that need some attention
1. Goliath
2. Link turret damage
IMO of course

Lately I have noticed that certain Engineers are flaunting the Goliaths in early waves, flattening everything that moves from a stationary position and repeatedly finishing off kills. The amount of points that can be stacked up doing this is amazing, and I have found myself trailing engineers well into the high waves. Combine that with the devastating power of the link turrets and it basically makes engineers capable of easily outscoring high level WMs. Forgive me if Im wrong but does this not defeat the purpose of the engineers to begin with??
Oh yeah, do you have any idea how hard it is to head shot Nalis when they are dancing because of the lighting sents???

Yes laugh it up but the truth is I never realized just how devastating those bolts/beams were until playing against you in a TDM. I can only hope that perhaps a high level damage reduction will soon be able to somewhat repel one of those things(I know this will never happen) which is why I said "hope".
Now if I had piercing Ultimas, I could make you pay for killing me

Ah yes I remember Kirby its amazing how tough those warlords get without a piercing weapon to shoot at them
You probably would have done a lot better if I hadnt been so careless

Why would you put players ahead of me that arent even on the high score table.........
I must have gotten lucky eh?
Nope. You're good, very good. But you suffer from the same problem I have, but not as much. You always try to reach for that one last kill and sometimes they get ya. I'm not saying that the ones ranked above you are any better, but most of them do have levels on you, which means higher skill levels. I feel that every single of the 14 players that I listed is capable of putting up a 4000+ point game. And those players not listed, I'm sorry if you feel that you should be listed.
One of the things I noticed is that it will be extremely hard for anyone to attain that score if there are other high level players on at the same time.
The 4000+ score will most likely happen with one high level player playing with several 10-25 level players on a map that fits the playing style of the dominant player.
So basically you are saying Im greedy!!!????
You have no idea how bad the greed is Demon >
Playing style???? Is killing everything that moves really a "style"????
Im on a mission!! First to 4K!!

Jeeze Demon, thats harsh.

I didn't mean to be harsh, if that what it is. But realistically, any one-on-one, or even a three-on-three, deathmatch tournament is gonna be uneven, no matter how hard we try to balance the players/teams. I guess I'm scared that if we went that route, it could cause some hard feelings among some of the more competitive players in the community.
But at the same time, I do ( ) realize the innate desire to see just how good or bad you are compared with other players in the community on a level playing ground, with no or minimal difference in the levels.
I agree, have you ever seen the complaining that goes on when we try to play a round of team deathmatch on the server????
Then again a lot of that complaining is me.........*grumble* stupid lightning bolt thingys

You know bot that never ocurred to me, I was still steaming over the fact that I was 2 points shy.....could have easily been a much higher score though it was very early in wave 16 and the titan rocks became invisible
