My initial thought was to improve the mine layer for the engineers. This would be by letting them have more mines
I thought the mine layer was limited to only 2 mines for performance reasons.
The 'feeding' idea is cool, but what about mines that simply last longer? For instance, instead of growing larger or becoming more powerful, they last for 3 explosions before disapearing.
Or what about mines that are permanently spawned? After they are shot from the mine layer they will continue to run around until the energy runs out (which is replenished by the link gun).

My vote goes to the flying books in that ABC map

I think it did damage, but I'm not quite sure about that or if it was spawning items considering I was trying to kill invisible monsters

It happened to me today on the first map I played. I reconnected to the server, but it just started happening again. Plus I spawned with this curious weapon (I took the screenshot while it was flipping out, so it looks larger than normal):

I thought I had taken a screenshot when they did that on morpheus station, alas, I must have pushed the wrong key. Seeing two leopard ladies slapping/taunting each other was just too much haha
here are a few of the screenshots I took.

I played quite a bit today, at least 5 different games, and didn't have any problems with weapons disapearing. Even when the server was completely full I was able to play just fine. Were any changes made?

I've been noticing an improvement with map popularity. I usually split my vote 50/50 between popular and unplayed maps, but lately the 0-plays maps have been winning the vote. And through this, I've discovered my new favorite map, Koma.

I just remembered, small maps seem to aggravate the problem too (ex: gael xl). Sometimes my weapons start to trickle in if I move away from other players, but that rarely works.

Today I wasn't able to last more than 2 waves without my weapons dissapearing. At the time there were 14 or 15 players online. I think the problem occurs more frequently when more people are playing.

I definitely agree with Wonko's observation of mine layer usage. I'm level 67 and I think my shot with the shock is ok, but yesterday I had to waste at least 12 shots with a vorpal 10 on this single skaarj because it was jumping and rolling all over the place. Like many others, I just give up and start using the mine layer because it's often the only effective weapon. And personally, sometimes I don't bother to give out good weapons because hardly anyone has time to respond. Everyone is too busy killing to do much else.
Piper's minimalized anti-camper solution sounds great for low level players.

I'll have to agree with Mach. To me it seems like a neat idea, but maybe it would make more sense if instead engineers have more options and upgrades for the automated sentinals. For instance, would it be possible to have a sentinal target players and shoot them with a healing weapon?
hmmm. Maybe that would be encroaching on medic territory.
