if you didn't see it, take a gander at youtube.

At first I thought it would be too soon, but it was surprisingly tasteful.

My favorite part: "Oh hey sinatra!"
yeah, those graphics are mind blowing.

the day when we can't differentiate games from reality is near
thou shalt not have any other games before unreal tournament!
Hmm... good points.

well on second thought, there are more important things to spend bandwidth and cpu power on.

Cha-Chi]From the way you said that, I think you meant your vote is to keep the momentum, a.k.a. the current settings?

err, yes. Guess I wasn't clear about that
I think I'll retract my vote for zero momentum. A lot of what has been said here makes sense. I can at least appreciate momentum for its entertainment value. I always get a good laugh when someone knocks me over the edge. But it also takes a little consideration on both sides of the situation. Players have to learn to stay away from the edges and also be careful about where they direct their weapons.
I was wondering if some sort of class indicator on the F1 screen might be possible. For instance, a player's name would show up a different color for their class (red for WM, yellow for AM, green for medics, or whatever). I'm unfamiliar with UT coding so I have no idea how much work this would take. I thought it might be useful for finding players to max weaps, healing, or whatever since not everyones character name hints as to which class they chose.

I use it. I don't often have my trans set in a safe place to get out too, so I use it when I've got four queens on top of me.

well then I guess we can blame toast for the telefrags
ditto, used it once and then forgot about it
I've spent the past two days playing my medic character and have experienced the disapearing weapons only once. Normally I'll have to reconnect to the server once or twice per map with my WM. The two major differences I notice between my characters are:
1. I have fewer weapons than my WM (usually 2 besides shield/assault)
2. I die less
Shots still tend to disapear, but come back quickly and never really affect the gameplay.
I just started a medic character the other day and my level is already in the mid-twenties. I mainly use the flak as my medic weapon, RL if no flak is available. I see no reason to change the current setup. I always use my medic weapon for both offense and (obviously) defense because it's a lot faster than switching between weapons. Although I could buy speed switching, I've been perfectly happy the way things are.

OH, so that's where I dropped my contact!

Yea, you sure were toast there. Or is that toasty??

mmmm... buttered toast
vash the stampede: his body can't withstand the lava, but his boots sure can!
Using regular weapons are often faster when it comes to getting first blood anyways. Maybe deemers should self destruct if shot within the first 10 seconds of a match
